shelf-the right way

: : surfing for inspiration at .tant johanna's. I came across this photo. we have a low shelf along our green wall in the living room, I wish it looked more like this. I like the organization by color below leaving the top shelf for more decorative objects. and man, I'm so jealous of that floor. thanks .tant johanna.

a glimpse of summer

: : finally, after 3 weeks straight of rain, we woke up on saturday and the sun was out. we had breakfast on the balcony and I said- "we should spend all day out here". So we did. It was heavenly! Then we woke up this morning to overcast skies and rain in the forecast for another week???

Brimfield fair

: : for years I have been wanting to go to .Brimfield. fair, the famous antique fair in Western Mass that happens three times a year. This year...I made it! If it wasn't for the fact that it makes you absolutely exhausted to wander around and constantly be searching, looking for that piece that's been missing in your home...I would spend days at .Brimfield. There's so much to see, I wonder if you can ever see it all. My friend Greg brought home some  giant letters. I brought home some antlers...I'm hoping they're from a moose, a Swedish moose. They're probably deer antlers though...either way, they'll look great on our wall.
