[congratulations!] and is ready for the real world as an industrial designer. her thesis project for Philips is this very cute and practical vacuum cleaner for kids. children are invited to help out with the cleaning of their home in a fun, responsible and inspiring way. when they are very young they can sit on it and ride along, then when they get older they can start cleaning areas by themselves.
buster doesn't have to be hidden away like most other vacuum cleaners, he becomes part of the interior when not in use. the shape derives from a fantasy animal that adds a story to the product which will inspire and enhance the power of play. .tina. is available at tina.id@gmail.com

I really love this vacuum. It's a wonderful design that is stylish, so you wouldn't feel so guilty leaving out for those quick pickups(mandatory when you have kids LOL) and love the dual use concept(meaning you need a vacuum any way and this one can have a little one sitting on it as well). My only concern is the safety. There are many statistics regarding children and vacuum accidents. Is there something with a safety shut off? ie:when the vacuum is being used, the child sits on it and and it is turned on and the child begins to clean, but if they get off the brush should automatically stop spinning.
I would definetly buy one as long as it was safe, but I'm sure Tina has already thought of those issues!

The idea is great but I am sure someone will complain that it may dangerous or unhealthy or a list of other moans that people tend to have, if we can design rotary washing lines that the kids are willing to keep turning and hand washing machines to keep them entertained we are on to a winner with the house work.
I found it's more popular to use the Robot Vacuum Cleaners to clean our house instead of doing that by ourselves in China, especially in Shanghai, although other countries have already used these machines for many years. As a mom who has been searching for a child's vacuum that really works, this looks like a great idea! All too many of the ones I've found, although looking like a full-sized vacuum, are too flimsy to stand up to a child's play, or are not actually functioning vacuums.
Regarding safety issues, yes, a vacuum can be dangerous to a small child. That's why you should teach a child not to play with electricity, and how to use a vacuum safely, although there can still be accidents. This seems remarkably childsafe, much safer than a standard full-sized vac.
