kurbits krumelurer

: : hello : : for those of you who have been following my posts, I have updated, created some new color combinations and added a tile pattern at the bottom. the top two with more modern color combinations, and the bottom one a bit softer. thank you all for your wonderful feedback! I think I am going to start experimenting with having some of these printed. I would love to work with a local company? anyone know of printing places in Boston?

and I would like to take the opportunity to ask .you. what you would like to see these patterns on? posters, cards, 3.dimensional products? some of you have mentioned fabrics, which got me excited. I love that idea. maybe the repeatable patterns in particular would work well for that.

I would also love to be able to apply them to furniture, which would reference the origin of the inspiration for these patterns. which came from traditional Swedish kurbits patterns, a folk art that originated in the region of Dalarna, Sweden, mostly in the form of hand paintings on furniture. Wow, I think these are wonderfull! I especially like the top one with the 'trees' in it.

It would be wonderfull to print this on fabric...

I'm looking forward to your next creation...

I love your pattern designs & think they would work perfectly on fabrics; bedding, blinds, cushions, linen napkins, table cloths, oil cloth. I can also see your ideas working on stationery very well.

Yours is such a lovely blog to visit!

the middle one would make a lovely tea towel.

Kom just på en att jag vill ha dina vackra mönster på ett överkast och/eller som lakan. Så det så.

The first would be fabulous for a notecard and I would love to see the second print on the seat part of a wooden chair!

I love them, Anna! They look like a very upscale version of Ikea textile (i.e. much cooler, and more high end). I think they would make great tiles for a kitchen, or throw pillows.

I think you should throw a twist and get these layred into clear plastic/ lucite furniture. Totally anti-craft but a great way to showcase the designs and inspiration while paying homage to classic and modern styling.

I love these. I can see them on fabric. Personally, I am picturing that last one as a pillow on my living room chair. The cool thing for you would be to play with the scale of the print on fabric. What fun you must be having.

Hey Anna, Did you ever live in Australia on a student exchange??? I thought I may have known you...

The last one is my favorite - I would love to see that as a trivet, printed on tile and mounted in a wood frame. Or as a large print for a kitchen chair seat.

Hej, vilken trevlig blog! Verkligen fina mönster! Ser framför mig en stor tavelram klädd i mönstret högst upp, d.v.s .med träden. Mycket fint!

They would be gorgeous applied to furniture or fabric.
I love these!
Maybe ask the people at reprodepot.com about fabric printing?

Puss systern!

These are beautiful designs. I can imagine the last two on throw pillows and kitchen counter canisters.

The first one would make a gorgeous card.

You have such a wonderful blog - I visit often.

Stop by my blog sometime if you get a chance.

kusinen! du är så himla duktig! you make me smile :)
håller med om att den översta skulle vara kanon på överkast och påslakan, den mittersta tycker jag hade varit snygg som tapet på en fondvägg eller som tyg på möbel och den sista definitivt på trämöbel!
ses snart fin-kusinen!

I keep coming back to this post because I like the prints so much. I mentioned a pillow in an earlier posting. I'm also loving the idea of a them printed on white muslin or linen. This would make for really pretty curtains & bed linens.
