I see your local to the Boston area, have you been to the glass flower exhibit at the Harvard Museum of Natural History? Two German glass artisans created these beautiful models of plants as botany teaching aids.
hi ladies! happy to have some new readers. welcome! I ended up in Boston because I studied design here, and loved it so much that I decided to settled down....for now. it is truly a wonderful city.
and thank you suburban pioneer for telling me about the glass flower exhibit. I will definitely check it out.
Oh, yes. You must see the Blashka flowers at Harvard. There are nothing like them in the world. Though I must thank you for the beauties you set before us here. Gorgeous.
oh wow!!! fanTAStic link!! I love botanical prints... I have a grouping of 100 year old illustrations above my bed ... they are some of my favorite pieces of "artwork". (And a pile waiting for use in storage ... I went on a "spree" on eBay a few years ago...)
