COS- the luxury version of H&M

: : the place where I spent most of my money while in Copenhagen, was definitely COS. It's the high-end clothing line of H&M. Everything was fabulous about COS. While being a higher end line, prices were still reasonable. All the clothes had interesting, unique cuts and often mixed different textures and materials. I fell for all the pops of bright colors and neon, combined with light greys and soft pastels. So far there are only a few stores in all of Europe, by they ship anywhere within Europe from their online store. I plan on making COS a regular stop on my itinerary every time I go home.

: : I wanted to share some design inspiration from my recent trip to Copenhagen. While at home for vacation in Sweden, I decided to make the trip across the bridge from malmö to copenhagen with my best friend .tina. We spent 3 days strolling (it was more like running, since we had so many places we wanted to make it to) around the city, it was absolutely amazing! I returned from vacation, full of inspiration.

In the next few posts I'll share a few highlights from the trip. Starting out with .the hay store., one of the most beautiful stores in Copenhagen. Both Tina & I are addicted to their products. Hay started as a furniture collective launched in 2003. Today they work with some of the worlds most leading edge designers creating furniture and accessories for the home. " Hay's ambition is to encourage Danish Furniture design's return to the innnovative greatness of the 1950's and 60's but in a contemporary context."

My favorite Hay product at the moment is .clara von zweigbergks. colorful kaleido trays.

a sauna in a box

: : uuuh, I want a sauna in my house so bad!! two weeks ago I went skiing with friends, and there was a sauna in the logcabin that we rented. It was amazing!! and made me realize how much I miss it. I can't wait for the day that we can build a sauna in our house, in the meantime I might have to buy this for our back yard.

: : found a new favorite blog, .b for bonnie. (via oh joy). Lovely photos of food, friends, places and things. loving these lamps with colorful cords posted recently on her blog.

my idea of a home

: : love this post over at .oh joy. today. I would feel so at home in any of these homes, the light, the wood, the color pop, the simplicity, purposefulness, balance and of course the pop colors feels perfectly aligned with the things I try to create in my own home. turns out the homes are all Swedish, designed by Swedish interior firm Alvhem....no wonder I was drawn to the images.

progress

 : : we did some work over the holiday weekend, we're making progress on our dining room. the wallpaper and antlers are up! the wallpaper looks tres chic! We are still working on a shelf for the opposite wall, and are waiting for our gold lamp to be rewired and hung above the table. oh and white curtains, maybe laser cut felt with kurbits patterns.
